it is a two pieace button with the back gone

it is a two pieace button with the back gone

You say it is a 2-piece button, so it appears to be a 19th or 20th-century British Merchant Navy button, or a modernday "Fashion"-clothing imitation of one. The back being missing (perhaps rusted out) suggests the second possibility is more likely to be correct.
