Button help

Can't find anything on this button. Maybe some of you button experts could give some info on this piece. It does not have a back mark. Has an animal head in the center that looks to be maybe a fox or coyote. If I look long enough I start to think it may be a raccoon?? Maybe it came from a hunters coat?

I have never seen one like it. Sorry I can't help, if it has a tin back could be late 1800's early 1900's
