are there any holes or rust spots on the edge. It looks like it might be a lead seal. If there aren't any holes or rust I think it is probably just a drop of lead.

I was thinking a lead seal. I have dug one that is the same shape and color.

I beleive it is a seal as it is too perfectly shaped just to a be a lead drop or something like that.

Here is some images of the other one I found in the same area. Looks a lot like it. Same size and color.
