What else does the button say? There in the inner loop?

Welcome to Treasurenet... it looks like a lettered button, civilian, maybe made for a company or who knows? The additional information might help date it. Nice looking button, is it being sold on Ebay?

Never Mind... I found it.

It's a lettered "R" button for the Regency Hotel made by Waterbury Button Company and still available today.

Your button however based on the "quality mark" indicated may be as old as the 1800s... I guess you might want to research the Regency and see how old that hotel is?

Nice button... she's in ghreat shape!

Thanks for your help Montana Jim. That was quick! I would have never found that information
on my own. I'll try to find out how old the Regency Hotel is.

Were these uniform buttons for the Regency Hotel employee's?

This button is in great condition, someone took good care of it over the years.
I found it in a box of old buttons that came from an estate sale.

This is a great forum for information. I'm glad to be here. Thanks for the welcome!

I do think they would have been from a hotel worker's uniform... think bellhop? Maybe from an executive's blazer.

would that be the Hyatt Regency Hotel?

I think they have joined... I have not researched the Regency at all... but I think you're correct... ??

My opinion would be not too much... You should check ebay for other Regency items... and compare to other hotel buttons I would think.
