Youre' right. I didn't even pay attention to the absence of lettering on your button. All I saw was a Massachusettes Indian.

There are several variants of that type of Mass button. It dates 1814 to 1820 or so. A cool button. They probably put the holes in it trying to sew it back on after the shank broke.

I scanned these pages for you. According to Albert's, Peasley was in business from 1808-1825.
