Troy & Boston RR, which ran from Troy, New York to the
state line near Bennington, Vermont.
It dates c. 1876,
and would be worth around $35 if in fine condition.

Thanks!! A perfect match. Hey guys, did a little research. The Troy and Boston RR started laying rail bed in 1850-52. Even though they received help from the State, the RR failed in 1863. The state also took over the completion of the Hoosic Tunnel, which stretches for 4.67 miles in north, western Ma.( North Adams)This tunnel was to be part of the Troy and Boston RR. 200 men died in completing this project. Eventually, in 1887, it became part of the Fitchburg RR, and then later part of The Boston and Maine.
