This evening I decided to give the shoreline in front of a colonial home a go. Unfortunately the river bottom in this area was a muddy mess so less than ideal conditions. Found a bunch of buttons in one area including the sweet little waffle print colonial example and a not often found early drilled shank variety. Not much else other than a round ball, completely toasted but dateable 1888 IHP and the harmonica reed. Nearby I found the unusual shoe buckle frame that is notched where the central pin would go. Never seen this type before
