button civil war maybe?

hello all, I have a button I need help with... I tried to take a picture of it but I can't get a clear picture of it with my 5 year old camera.. I'll try to explain it to you... it looks to have been either gold plated or bronze plated, it has what looks to be a 2 headed eagle or dove with wings an tail open full o chest part of the bird is a sheild feet are grasping either wheat or maybe olive branches.. it has writing on back but can't make out what it says... I'm sorry if I made this difficult... if you think you know what it is could you please post a link or a picture of the item an I can compare an let everyone know if that is the right button.... Thank you so much in advance for everyones help...

ps This was found at a house that was built in the late 1700's to early 1800's .. the orginal house is still there an it has the slits in the walls that the settlers used the snipe the indians... thanks again everyone!

that is not it Jim thank you for your time...... I really wish my camera would take detailed pics... the heads of the birds look alot like pheasants or doves.. I am assuming they're actually eagles the shield on it's breast has 5 stars on it... back from what I can make out has a B then another B or it could be a A or an R it's corroded so I can't make it out... definitely has a star pattern with the words NEW YORK followed by what looks to be two zeros on the back

thank you buckle boy for your reply... I tried almost all day yesterday to get some pictures of this button but the camera I own don't take detailed pics of small item... I probly was on atleast 10-15 sites that sold buttons an I didn't see the button I found on any of them....

Try putting our camera lens right up agienst a mgnifying glass and use plemnty of light
