Well, I might be in the wrong place for this one. It's clear that it is a button but it does seem odd. It looks crude and has odd symbols around the rim. I don't think it's a different language but It doesn't make any since. These are scan and photo pictures of it.

I found this at a site that I've been working for a week now. It is a property where there was a brothel, along with other buildings that were used by the railroad. The buildings were torn down about 2 yrs ago after being out of use for .... I don't really know how long but I'm told many years. It is a very interesting place.

If someone knows where I can go on the net for button collectors, that might help.
