Button.......anybody know what kind?

Im posting this for my mother inlaw. After hearing me talk about the stuff I have been finding......she ordered an Ace 250 also.

She found this button on an old road bed beside of their property. It was about 4" deep.

I think it's a button from an old Navy P-Coat. My brother used to have one when he was in the Navy.

YEAH PROBABLY CIVIL WAR NAVY BUTTON. TOO BAD THE SHANKS BROKEN. MY FRIEND FOUND A WAR OF 1812 ARTILLERY BUTTON AND GOT 85 BUCKS FOR IT.

It looks like a MC 2 marine button with a relative value of 35.Really need to know the backmark for sure.

On further investigation it has five point stars which would indicate a MC 14 in Albert's book.
