Of course RELICEDUDE, you knew we were gonna ask...
Is there a back mark?
What kind of shank does it have?
Can you post a larger picture of it?
What is it made from?
Is it a one piece or two piece?
Are there dots, stars, or nothing around the eagle inside the rim?


I think CRUSADER and diggummup are both right, it's a blazer button based on wing and anchor design... check this out from the Waterbury Button Company who is still making these blazer buttons today... It still might be old - but it's not military.

Thanks --There is no backmark that i can see ..Its a 2 piece button the back is in very bad shape..Also no stars around it..I think its an old button but not that old , very old it would be a 1 piece ;D maybe around 1880 or so?I can't find any record of it..Thanks for the help relicdude
