Looks to "round" to be a butt cap from a pistol. The pistol grip should be more oval shaped, to fit the hand.

The 2 holes confuse me too. Not sure exactly what it is... hope it's good.

if it's only got one hole on the side, I would think it's the pommel cap from a sword. hole on the end for the handle shaft and nut, the hole on the side for the hand guard

Yes,only one hole on side.Cleaned a bit more and think now its a man in english wig on left and woman on right.Still no clue to what it is though.

I think jewelerguy hit the nail on the head, that would explain the position of the holes.
