Caveat Emptor is Latin for "buyer beware". It was first coined as a business law term, to keep a certain amount of latitude in favor of the seller in case the buyer decides his deal wasn't so good. I just purchased some business cards for myself to hand out to people as I am asking permissions. I went to Vistaprint, and they are a fine company, but it was an ordeal to check out. Here's how it went down.

You go in, and they set you out step by step to get you a card made just the way you like it. Then you go to checkout, and that's where the fun begins. I'm very cautious to not give out too much of my personal info to any website. It only causes problems with spam phone calls, spam emails, and junk emails. Vistaprint is loaded with all of these opportunities for you to get this stuff. I had to un-check a lot of stuff, and carefully study each page in the process to be sure I didnt tell them that I wanted something. To top all of that off, its a chore to actually check out without buying all of the add-on stuff they throw at you, such as address labels, envelopes and such.

I just felt that its a good thing to warn people to be careful they don't get charged out the wazoo for stuff they dont ask for.

Peace and Love,

Hig

It's getting absurd now days with the ads and companies making you buy something you don't want.
I have about 10 calls a day I don't want from telemarketers.

Cash and carry is my motto, ask for my phone # and you get ooo ooo oooo, name Mickey Mouse, 123 Your St, Anytown, USA. They just look at me and I stare back.

I considered using them but when I encountered that, I said forget it and ended up going to one of the big chain office stores and had them made. I'm sure I probably paid at the least 3 times the amount you did.

Yeah the whole time were in Myrtle, all the stores were asking for my wife's email address, and she gave it to them. I asked her if she was nuts! She's got to be nuts, because she knows better. She's an IT manager for crying out loud! I told her not to ***** when she gets spam emails.

Every retailer now is so trying to sell you some sort of "add-on". I dropped my truck off at the dealership yesterday. I'm one of their "super-customers," because I've traded with them exclusively for the last 25 years. They were going to give me a loaner, but they dropped the ball and didn't have one for me, so they gave me a ride to Hertz with PO# from them. The counter person tried to sell me every add-on piece of crap insurance and whatnot that she had. I told her no way.

$12.98 after shipping.

I make my own with the free version of Microsoft Word that came on my laptop....Added graphics and everything...Printed them on some sheets of business cards with perforated edges that tear off clean...and I'm a dummy when it comes to technical stuff like that.

I've used Vistaprint twice for our group. The cards have the name of our group, and my cell phone number and what we do. We carry a few cards in our hats from Vistaprint to hand out to people that we run into that say they lost something at a beach or park. That way if they call we have their number if/when we find their item. The guys also have coffee cups.
