Hello All,

For all of those out there who want a good read when it treasure hunting you should try the classic Buried Gold and Anacondas by Rolf Blomberg. The book is about the search for Atahualpa's Treasure in the Andes Mountains. Atahualpa was a Inca Emperor who was captured by Pizarro. Atahualpa tried to buy his freedom, by telling Pizarro he would fill the room they where in from floor to ceiling with gold, if would set him free. Pizarro agreed and the Inca Emperor then sent orders through out his kingdom and caravans of gold began arriving into town several days later. The Spanish never layed eyes on so much gold it was more then the dreamed of. But it was still not enough to satisfy the gold lust of Pizarro.

Suddenly the shipments stopped. The gold that had arrived was not yet enough to cover the ransom of Athuapla and Pizarro ordered the Emperor be put to death. What Pizarro did not know, was that several more Inca caravans where on there way loaded with gold to pay the rest of the ransom. But when word got out of the Emperors death all of the shipments where stopped. The gold was then hidden in secret locations in the Andes mountains to stop it from falling into the hands of the Spanish.

Anyway,if you can find a copy you should read this book. It will not let you down and is a inspiration for all treasure hunters. Even if you don't plan on going to the Andes. It also contains an amazing map if you can find the first edition.
