Harness buckles...could be 1800s but impossible to tell...

Thats what I was thinking, some were at Rev war sites and others just at old home sites

very possible pre 1900 hard to say for sure --the area where they were found at and its historical useage might help a lot for figgering out their age / use .

Probably not older than 1880, although the top right might be.

They are mostly horse harness related.

The bulk of them were found at a property near me that dates to about 1640. The rest were all dug at revolutionary war sites around me.

I agree with Crusader.  Not much older than 1880's.  I've never found these at sites that fell out of use before the CW.
