Found these last weekend in a farm field. I'm not sure if they're some type of bullet or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated! HH

The narrow one is 7/8" long and the base is a 1/2" wide The round one is about 3/4" wide. Both are heavy like lead.

Looks like a wad cutter and a shot gun slug. Both modern in my opinion

Relic Nut is correct, both of your bullets are from the 20th Century. The first one is called a "Maxi-Ball" (a play on the name Minie-Ball), made for use by modernday shooters in Blackpowder rifles. The second is a rifled-shotgun slug. Technically, that one could go back as far as the very late 1800s, but most were made in the 20th Century. In fact, both of your bullets are still being made and sold today. Do a websearch for Maxi-Ball.

I've got photos showing both of your bullets in modernday sales packaging, but those photos are on my dead computer, so I can't post them until my data gets transferred to a new computer.

Both modern indeed.....the first one was fired from a muzzle loading rifle, you can see the ram rod mark.

The first one is a Thompson center .50 cal maxi ball and the second looks to be a .177 pellet
