Bullets from the Virginia area

Any of you civil war fans may be able to help me with this issue. I was wondering what kind of bullets these are.

They are Sharps carbine bullets.

They are indicative of calvary and I usually find .44 Navy colt pistol bullets with them. They also come in a "pedastaled" variety. See the pictures below. I recently have found several of these bullets. Now my question to someone else of greater expertise is, do they come in caliber larger than .52? Maybe .54? I have a .52 but the ones I found recently seem slightly bigger. Thanks.
