Bullet's,Button and a What's It Today.....

Hey All...I met up with Tymcmurray around 8:30 this morning and hunted until 12:30 or so at the field down the road from me.No real notable CW relic's,5 more .58's,a .54 and a mangled Gardner that was sitting on top of the ground,also picked up a tiny flat button(14.2mm)got it soaking right now.The what's it might be horse related,"nipper's" but I'm not sure,any help would be appreciated,that's under electrolysis right now.The last pic is the lead I've gotten from this field so far this year including today's find's.Thank's for looking and HH!!

Good digs civil, I think those pliers were used for shoeing horses.

Nice finds. Your whatsit is more than likely a horse shoe nail puller or hoof nipper.

Nice finds. I agree, looks like the tool used to pull out the nails when changing the horse shoe

The pliers were also used in the civil war as an artillary gunners pliers.
