Bullet Identifications

Found these two at different permissions but i was wondering what the bullet with rings is? The other to me looks like a fired 3 ringer. I found it at a Civil war site but i have never seen one that flat before, looks like it hit a rock or was ran over. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Just my opinion but the top one looks like a modern muzzle loader bullet. The bottom one is too deformed to positively identify so it could go either way.
