Looks like a modern bullet with a copper jacket

Precise diameter-measurement of your bullet is needed for ID certainty... but eyeball-comparing it with the ruler in your photo indicates it is either a 5.56mm Military or .223 Remington bullet. Being that caliber AND having a tapered base (called a boat-tail) means it is mid-20th-Century to the present.
