✅ SOLVED Bullet ID help

I found this bullet today and cannot find it in my two bullet books. It has a nice white patina and was found on the property of a small CW battle. It's weight is 383.6 grains, the diameter is .689 inches and the length is .575.5 inches. I hope someone can help. The bullet is very top heavy due to it having a short length and a deep cavity.

Looks like a 12 ga shotgun slug to me.

Capsmith is correct. Specifically, that version of shotgun slug dates from the late-1800s at the earliest. The heavy lead-oxide patina on yours indicates it is a very-old one... but the reason it is not shown in any civil war bullet reference-books is, that form of shotgun-slug did not exist during the civil war.
