Capsmith is correct. Specifically, that version of shotgun slug dates from the late-1800s at the earliest. The heavy lead-oxide patina on yours indicates it is a very-old one... but the reason it is not shown in any civil war bullet reference-books is, that form of shotgun-slug did not exist during the civil war.
