Bullet ID anybody? Found today.

That looks to me to be a modern day muzzleloader bullet, if you could measure across the bottom, might help in the ID
I hate poison ivy also. ended up getting it three time this past summer from metal detecting. The roots from the ivy in the ground is the culprit. I need to pay much more aware of my surroundings and use gloves. Then I have to get in the habit of washing the gloves. The oil from the poison is on the leaves and in the roots, it can transmit from clothing to skin.

I agree it appears to be a modern Buffalo bullet used in muzzle loaders. It doesn't appear to be shot, I don't see any markings from lands and groves. You may want to look around that site a little more. Could have been a hunting camp close by.
