Hi my name is Grant I live in south east England ,and I am new to this site. I have seen a lot of information on bullets that have been found I found one when digging in my back garden it has RG 59 (circle with a cross in it) then L2A2. I told my friend about this, he said around where i lived a minor got shot and died and i could have the bullet that killed him????? I doubt very much that i do but it would be interesting to find out what it is and where it would have come from.

Your description sounds more like an empty brass case, not the bullet - the head stamp on case you are describing sounds like a .308 Winchester, I do believe the circle with a cross in it means it is NATO approved military round (7.62x51 in NATO language) - 100's of millions if not billions of these rounds have been produced so my guess would be it was shot at a deer or target on not a minor, but..........you never know.

Welcome to T Net!
Interesting find.
