Any help dating this would be greatly appreciated. It came from a civil war camp that has produced many buttons. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1524190100.401224.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1524190123.019990.jpg

That’s actually a worm used for cleaning. The cleaning rag/swab would go around the worm. It could very well be a CW artifact since it was found with other artifacts. Good find.

Thanks for the info. Pretty awesome either way. [emoji106]

Nice find find!!! "D"

Not a bullet worm. Its a piece of a revolver cleaning brush. Here's a complete one I dug. There would be horse hair inserted where the brass is twisted. A wood shaft was screwed on to the threaded end.

So the 2 ended ones were for revolvers?

Does your top row off Minnies have "Teat" bases? Love their rounded nose.
