Your cartridge case looks to be a Spencer hull. Your bullet looks to be modern.

I found a complete / intact brass similar to yours a while back, with the same O.D. at the rim base - With the "+" symbol (meaning Swiss made cartridge) in the center of your brass and the O.D. @ the base of the rim being close to .622 I will guess it's a .41 Swiss.
