Although its nose-tip is distorted by a dent, I am certain it is a .52 Sharps Rifle/Carbine "New Model" bullet variety with two raised rings and "rebated" flat-solid base. It too has been eroded a but by "wet" acidic soil. Its original diameter was .525-inch. The authors of the "Handbook Of Civil War Bullets & Cartridges" mention that it MAY be a Confederate imitation of the US-made version, because (quoting from the book) "[Confederate bullet-manufacturing] records indicate Richmond [Arsenal/Laboratory] initially made their Sharps bullets too small in diameter." See bullet #111 in the updated "Handbook Of Civil war Bullets & Cartridges" by James E. Thomas and Dean S. Thomas.
