I think you're right about the pounds.
1,600,000 GBP = 2,491,870.27 USD

1,600,000 EUR = 2,068,961.06 USD

I can think of better things to spend that much money on..

20,000 for a set of tires

1.7 Gallon of Fuel per Minute

For a car you can't get up to speed on the Interstate ? :icon_scratch:

I want one

Buyers can even have the badging of Ettore's initials removed and replaced with their own.

Here is mine. :love7:

Someone even got a spy shot of me with the car. :tongue3:

Note: 400 KM/H is approx 248MPH !!! :o In 10 seconds.

Brake Fast

There is one thing the Veyron 16.4*) does even faster than accelerating: braking.

It takes less than 5 seconds to get from 0 to 100 km and back to a complete standstill. In theory, that is, for such a feat would require the driver to react with nearly superhuman speed. The whole braking process takes no more than 31.4 meters or 2.3 seconds – that is less than the car needs to get from 0 to 100 km. And even the 400-to-0-km/h deceleration is a matter of less than 10 seconds.

http://www.bugatti.com/en/veyron-16.4/technology/deceleration.html

It boasts deceleration values of up to 1.3 g, with an additional 0.6 g support by the rear spoiler.

If I flipped the limiter bit and spread out the gears, I could go faster :whip2: :laughing7: A guy at the store I got it from had his up to 273mph on the salt flats, but his record was beaten a month or two prior. I don't know what it's up to now. The limiter bit makes the top speed 300kmh, or 186mph, which you can reach in fifth gear. I, ummm, did my first wheelie the other day. Yes, I'm on the near side of crazy. Seriously, though, I very tentatively explore the bike's performance envelope...the wheelie was totally natural and under control, but is not a behavior I will seek (but it was awesome). Cold morning, lots of power. As far as braking...that's the real danger on a bike; you can run out of road much faster than you think, or, at speed, a lazy corner can become a right angle turn.

Beep, it's good to see your wild side.. Not to be out done, I can pop wheelies on a unicycle :headbang:

Top that :laughing9:

Sweet two-wheeled rocket Beep.

If.....IF I were ever to venture into a street bike it would have to be a Hayabusa. :headbang: BUT, combine all the deer and idiot drivers around here and my lack of self control with speed and performance I'm better off just looking.

At least sitting within the cabin of a four wheeled vehicle I stand a chance of surviving. :laughing9:

I think through a specific set of 'reminders' when I get on it. I don't ride it at night if I can help it (for instance, too dark when I go home, so I don't take it to work, but spring's comin').

It's the 'head-on-a-swivel' type of thing; most days something happens and you have to be ahead of it and know what every driver around you is doing, front, back ,sides, etc.

Of course, it's the one you don't see that gets you, if not a lack of self-control or invalid assumption. Self-control, and throttle control, are really, really important on these things...
