After being silver sniped for the second day in a row at the same bank, I think I may have found a new dump bank. Anyway I went to one of the banks that I pick up from and I think I found what has to be a collection today. I got another $100 in nickels today and this was my best score so far in nickels. They didn't have a box in and I'm happy they didn't. They had $100 in CWRs which I thought was going to be someones dump rolls, untill I saw that the bag they brought out had many different paper rolls.

Anyway here are my finds

24 dateless buffalo nickels
1 1928 buffalo (the date is pretty hard to see but you can still read it)
All of the buffalo nickels were in a single roll.

Canadian nickels:
1969
1972
1985
2008 (I'd say uncirculated since there is not even a single scratch on the coin, anyone have an idea of the value, if it's even worth anything more than face?)

61 and earlier Nickels (for my book):
1939 x 3, 1941d x 1, 1946 x 1, 1946d x 1, 1948 x 1, 1949d x 1, 1951d x 1, 1952 x 1, 1953 x 2, 1953d x 1, 1954 x 1, 1957d x 5, 1958 x 1, 1958d x 1, 1959d x 3, 1960 x 1, 1960d x 5

of which I neede 11 of these for my new nickel book. Still looking for that 50d! So elusive, but hey, this was my best day yet for nickels even though there was no silver. I'll take 25 buffalos over a skunk any day!

Nice little herd there. I thought my 8 in a box was awesome. Keep it up. I do 2-4 nickel boxes a week and have been having lots of luck.

HH!

Congrats on them finds! :icon_salut: I just came off the worst box nickels I've done to date. Strings box, 0nly 6 nickels pre 61 one good one for the book, a 46 S. I bet there were 400 to 500 64's in that box. 6 or 8 in every roll! Unreal!

That's horrible, hope you find a good box soon. I've noticed a TON of 64 nickel's too, it seems like someone was hoarding 64 nickels and then all of a sudden they turned in the millions they had in storage. Correct me if I am wrong but didn't they mint somewhere in the range of 2.5 to 3 billion nickels that year?

Nice find on the buffalos. Maybe the guy who needed the money will bring in more next week.

My nickel box tonight seemed to have a bunch of 1964's too. I only found 14 pre 60's, a 1945D, a 1936S Buffalo, and a 1993 Estados Unidos Mexicanos N$1.

At least with the dimes and nickels I usually find something, haven't found a half in a box in over 5 weeks now.

The 2008 nickel is worth 45 cents in MS-63 and nothing more in other grades.

Nice! Did you ask there about customer wrapped dimes, quarters, and cents?

Nice batch, I agree with MountainMan2, you should go back and ask for other denominations!

Thanks for the info on the canadian, I found a second 08 uncirc yesterday.

I have asked them for other CWR of other denominations but haven't ever really found anything. I am not big in searching cents, but I have snatched up a few rolls of dimes and quarters, haven't found that much. Silver quarters seem nonexistant in my area of California and from this bank I have only ever found one pre 64 dime. I think it was a 53d or something like that. So I'd say for whatever reason, nickels and halves are my best bet. I might start seaching more dimes and quarters once I finish the whitmen nickel books I am doing.
