I have seem to come across photographic evidence Bill Cody had connections to Confederate & English Connections and was actively participating in Actions against the Union Before, During, and After the Civil War.

He has been majorly washed, I am going to Dig DEEP into his story.
To quote a legend, “Let’s get ready to rumble!”. Let’s have a clean fight, if there’s a knockdown, go to your neutral corner. 🥊. 😀You call buffalo bill a traitor after you read a few lines in a book. ?..who wrote this book ?
Seems the press really hasn't changed much !!Legends are scarcely ever a true depiction of character. Especially in the 1800s. The eastern press romanticized the heck out of the western image. It sold papers in Philly, DC, Boston etc. They loved to invent “facts” about: Cody, the Earps, Bat Masterson, etc. Look at how they adored Custer; an ego running amok in uniform. They were simply people, caught up in vices that fit that place in time: gambling, drinking, theft, etc. Very opportunistic rascals.
There were no traitors, every single Southern soldier was pardoned by President Johnson in 1865. They fought for their families, homes and land.He surely wasn't a traitor to the south then !! He just wasn't a Yankee!!
