Found in sand. Near each other. One appears to been shot but the others arent perfectly round - have many slightly flat sides to them.

They look like buckshot, but it's hard to relate the size in the photo, and they seem to be a little large even for 00. I'd put my money on buckshot until someone comes up with something better.

I think they are small lead sinkers called split-shots. They have that little crease in them that when new, you would slip your line in and pinch it closed.

yeah they look like split shots to me too

I know about split-shots and these are not. The one you see has a little mark I know but its just the surface. These are some kind of bullet

They do seem too big for 00 buckshot, yet too small for modern blackpowder. They were all within a few foot circle as if they had been shot into the sand dune.

could be triple aught buck, it's not very common, but it is out there. if you can get an accurate measurement of one in the least deformed spot I can tell you for sure if it is or not. triple aught will be around .36 cal

The furthest one on the right looks like it has a flat spot where the sprue tip was cut off. If not buckshot they could be pistol balls.

Yes, and you can see the mold ring from when it was cast. Buckshot is swaged, home made pistol balls are cast in a bullet mold, the spru is cut off and they leave a ring where the mold came together. I agree, probably .36 cal pistol bullets for a cap and ball revolver.

Ok, now this is interesting again. Yes they appear more hand made than not (mold rings, etc). But probably done by some modern black powder fan, I suppose, because they don't look very old -no lead oxide and whatnot. They were in pure sand but would still be subject to rains and weather. So would they be 36 caliber? I should measure..

Tripple o buck is commonly available in the boiler maker trade . They use it for clinker removal in power plant boiler tubes to avoid more costly repairs .

I've got a pistol shot I found with the nub still on it. It looks like these. I think you have a pistol shot here. I agree they do not look like fishing split shot.

On one of the better ones I can make out a mold ring all the way around..and along that ring are four flat marks evenly spaced out, making four 'sides' if you will. Then there seems to be a flat mark on the top and on the bottom. The others resemble this pattern as well but is harder to make out. Not sure if this helps..
