Very cool to dig up...I only have one. You probably found a nice selection of buttons I'd imagine.

I wish I could help you, but I"m also in the dark. There's plenty of people here that will assist you with all your finds. I've only been goin at it for a short while now.

Correct horse related, they changed design very little from the late 1800s to the late 1900s. Your guess is as good as mine :)

I find them from time to time. Sometimes you will get them complete with the spike. I like them.
