Dug this up in NJ of all places. I just want to confirm that this is a buckle and not a box plate.

Buckle, box plate only had two connection points on the back, at least all that I've seen.

That's an awesome find Greg I'm sure you remember when I posted the cannon ball on the other forum, well there was an old timer that found a union army breast plate at the same spot. It's an area that got used for CW training during the civil war. Heck I probably posted the cannonball on this forum too.

If your asking about the disk under the Buffalo nickel it's a William penn token. Yes they were found in the same location.
