I found this yesterday at the old barn. I was digging and digging and digging...had this huge hole going. I don't know about the rest of you but when I am hunting I am oblivious to everything around me. After a good 10 minutes of digging the hole I looked up and was surrounded by cows! ;D They were just as curious as to what was in that hole as I was! ;) Anyhow finally got it and I thought WOW! I found a lock! But after getting it home and washing off all the dirt...I think maybe it's some sort of buckle? What do ya think?

Merry Christmas!

;)

Does look like a buckle, I've found a few of those big ones and have dug deep to get them. They usually give me a 4" depth signal but end up being 10" or 12" deep. HH and thanks for the post, Mike

Nana --- Pretty neat find you got. I think from looking at the ring, the hinge part is at the top end of the second photo. the clasp or what ever you call it doesn't llok like the photo posted below yours.

Sounds like you need to come here and dig for some gold nuggets. Deep holes for tin usually.
