Buckle with shield in center, flower w/leaves in all four corners???

Where is Buckle Boy? Need some help with this brass buckle. It is about 1"H x 3/4"W. Possibly, an early boy scouts belt buckle. It says 'Giant Grip' on back and 'super plate' in small letters, too. Colonial relics and coins have often been found in same area.

Would appreciate any help.
