✅ SOLVED Buckle or Badge? Priceless or worthless?

Hello. New to this site. I found this badge/buckle in Eastern, KY outside of my great grandfather's home which I think was built in the 30's or early 40's. Any input on what this could be and what era it's from would be greatly appreciated. I have no clue of it's origins but it has piqued my interest in Metal Detecting for sure. P.S. I haven't tried to clean it

KNIGHTS TEMPLAR BELT BUCKLE & SWORD HANGER CHAINS


19th century, leather belt with brass buckle and fittings, the buckle with knight on horse design. The plated metal hang clasps with cross, armor, crown and crossed swords. Waist size up to 37 inches. Leather is worn but serviceable.

Late Victorian / classical Greek revival era. Breezie (a knowledgable member here) may be be able to better nail down the likely date range, but I'd guess in the 1900-1910 range.
Oops, I hadn't yet seen the above post, so that goes to show my dates for this type of item can be off a bit.

Thanks for your help. I wish I could have found the whole assembly, but nonetheless I'm happy to have found it. If anyone else reads this I would like some help deciding what to clean such materials with. Thanks folks

if you're going to keep it(dont clean if for sale)..start with toothpaste,a gentle rub.if no go you can step up to brasso
