Buckle Identifcation

Can someone identify this buckle for me. I found it in a wooded area in north Texas. Thanks in advanced!

How big is it? It looks like it was stamped, and fairly light weight. My guess on age would be no earlier than the early part of the 1900's .. Could also be much later.

Am I seeing it right that it's trapezoid shaped? Not uncommon in the 1970's. Is there possibly text on the top of the back?

I don't think there is text. (Haven't cleaned it yet) it is just a couple inches long.
