Morning all...

Out to a school in a neighboring town... clad... 1967 Dog Tag... Eyeball find of shoe... boy scout thingy... and did not expect to find this buckle... rang on @ TDI 36 (Penny range) on my X-Terra 70...

1750s - 1790s shoe buckle

I have hundreds of buckles & have not had one of those complete :o

Its a GREAT FIND!

How deep was it?

I agree with Crusader , Seeing as you live in Connecticut a Colonial buckle can turn up anywhere you hunt ! And a fancy style at that !

It was 5" deep... I was just expecting another memorial penny... was slightly left of my pinpoint but the Vibra Probe saw it and I popped it out...

I have 4 coins from the 1800's and 4-5 relics from the 1800's... nothing nearly this old then...

That is a sweet find. Always amazes me that these guys and gals on the TNET can quickly get to the bottom of what an item is. Nice job all! jgas
