I found this buckle at a homesite. I do not know anything about the site, but the house was torn down years ago and it is part of a state wildlife area. I found numerous other 20th century artifacts including old bottles and tons of Wheaties and a silver plated Illinois State Sovereignty souvenir spoon, but the buckle appears to be older. I am trying to determine just how old the house was, so a time period on this type of buckle would be helpful.
The Buckle measures approximately 1 inch wide, and appears to be bronze.
