Went out a little this morning to some woods near one of my favorite spots. Was picking through some iron when I got a nice signal on the t2. after digging about 10 inchs out popped this.

It is copper, it looks to be cast, it appears that he is looking into what appears to be a face. It measures 2 1/2" wide by 3" high.

I found this in an area were I have found a lot of colonial coins and buttons. If anyone could help with iding this I would be very grateful

Thanks.

Don

Not a clue.....................But very cool................................HH

Religious piece - looks like it may have been attached to a piece of furniture, or a chest/box, or the like, maybe a church door, alter, etc.

Cool find!

HH

Its a Roman/Greek classical scene of a person over an alter, performing a ritual, maybe with libations.

As stated above, most likely a furniture piece, like a lock cover or???
