Found these two at an older park today. The round thing says pat April 190? It also has a reeded edge like a coin. image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg Thanks in advance

Ive seen an old picture frame before like the one you have pictured. Has a star on it to note that the pictured was either serving in the military or perished while in military.

Coin shaped object with Reeded edges is most likely a lamp wick adjuster.

More info and some photos for any readers here who aren't already familiar with the center-holed small brass disc marked "Pat[ent] April 190_" and whose edge is reeded/knurled. All four of those characteristics (center-holed, small, Patent-marked, reeded/knurled edge) are typical of the disc on an "antique" oil/kerosene lamp's wick-height adjuster. I should mention, some don't have a patent-marking. Here are some photos showing the intact wick-height adjuster.

The small round thing is a retaining clip for a drum style car brake shoe spring

Max, I momentarily thought the same thing, but that would be some pretty small brake shoes. Note that it doesn't have the indents where the clip needs to sit to stay put. And the reeded edge is not needed for those. And I've never seen one with a patent date. And those are stamped steel, where this is a bit thicker.
-I agree with wick adjuster knob

Yea I would have thought same thing too max if I hadn't found variations of both.

Looking on my cell phone it reminds me of an old bus token, spring retainer was my first though too but it doesn't quit fit the style.

I can't find my wick adjuster I had posted on here last year. I would show for comparison if I could find it
