Buckle age ?? Type ??

I have dug some 1860s buckles in much better shape then this one ,any idea the age or kind of this one ?
It is highly corroded with rust , center pin is rusted in place .Also one side of the buckle appears larger than the other .

Bridle buckle or similar horse-related piece. These date from the 1800s, presumably on up into the early 1900s.
