Got a solid 65 on the AT Pro and I only dug it cause I hadn't got a good signal all day.
At first it looked like the head to a nail or a small shankless button.
After wiping the dirt away I saw a Roman numeral "III" and it turned out to be an 1852 silver 3 cent piece or Trime as some call it.
First one I ever found so I am excited!!!
Next I hope for my first reale lol

That's one of the ones I'd like to find some day too, congrats.

Thats a great find. I'm still looking for that coin to come out of a clod of dirt. Congrats.

Congrats on knocking off that bucket-lister! Still looking for my first of either type after 25 years of hunting.

Nice! Those suckers are small! Hadn't actually seen one til I went to a coin shop to buy a sand scoop...great find! Ddf

Congrats on the trime. Nice looking coin. Still on my bucket list as well.

Great little silver to knock of the list

Thanks everyone!!

You could argue that these are scarcer to find than Spanish silver (half real, one real, two reales, etc). Note that it's "real" and not "reale". Great color on it too! Congrats

Super Silver, Congratulations! :occasion14:

congrats on the trime! those are hard to find.

Why do you say it real vs reale. I've seen it both ways in publications but mostly reale. Thanks.

Very well done sir! I have dug a lot of holes in my life, but I have never seen one of those at the bottom!

Congrats.

Congrats on that sweet tiny coin Waynos! Good job locating such a small silver, easy to miss for sure. I'm always happy when I find tiny little fishscales (Canadian silver half dime), but those three cent pieces are REALLY small.
