I hit the beach this morning for a couple of hours at a spot me and my buddy Miah have done well at in the past. I started out with finding some old clad then came a few Buffaloes and wheaties. After about an hour and a half I pulled up a silver quarter but it was sooo corroded I couldn't tell what it was. I was really hoping I had my
First SLQ but I didn't get my hopes up. When I got home I set up my electrolysis to clean the crud off the quarter. After it sat in there for about 10 minutes I pulled it out and rubbed it down with baking soda and revealed my first Standing Liberty Quarter! It's in really bad shape but it still counts! Hopefully it won't be another four years before I find my next one!
Also found four 20 MM shells. One has a date on it, 1944.
Last week I found a couple flat buttons and a toasted large cent in a different spot
Thanks for looking everyone. Happy hunting!
