I found this last fall and am not sure what it is or how old. It was found on an old cabin site dating back to 1850s struck it with my spade. It had two prongs on the back!!

Looks like an early rosette to me, but looks like you made it a girl rosette.

It could possibly be a brooch, which once had a centre paste stone.
