Dunno what either of these are.

At first I thought #1 might be an old paintbrush but the bristles are metal so it's probably a braided steel strap. The piece next to it must be part of it, it came out of the same hole.

#2 appears to have gold plating on it and I'm absolutely clueless. Wish I could unbend it without breaking it.

Managed to unbend it tonight without breaking it :) It's not a perfect circle, it's a bit of an oval. Still dunno what it is, but apparently I found another, smaller one.

I agree that it is not a oil lamp piece. I have dug up four oil lamps and none had that.
