Thar she blows! JK, (totally against whale hunting) Again...Not too shabby! Maybe the bell is a sleigh bell?

I seriously doubt any of the Tenn. Trio is going to dig a harpoon tip here Herbie-LOL. Very nice finds. That tip is cool. You have a bigger assortment of stuff than Walmart on almost every hunt. WTG and more HH Bud, Quindy.

Sleigh bell it is! Thanks JW :hello:
Quindy, was hoping that the harpoon was an oldy, (sure looks old)
Most likely for swordfishing. Best digs to You All ;D

Pretty unusual find (I would think)

Live rounds are kind of cool. I found a couple of 9mm.

Hey Herbie, is there anything you haven't found? I bet you have litereally found a kitchen sink!

That Harpoon is well interesting, well done mate :icon_thumleft:

That's a pretty neat find Herbie, congrats on your day of diggin. :icon_thumleft:

You've been digging up a storm Herbie (aka spoonman)  If I was you I'd go back where that cast pewter button you found was in the other post.(but hae that's just me) ;D Yes your dart is neat & yes used to dart shark,tuna,swordfish,etc..Not really for killing more for getting a better line in him to fight with.Takes the load off the rod & reel. Not sure when exactly they started to use this type but are still used today.I'm guessing your around some deep sea fishing charter boat dock or long liners or both.Somebody playing with the big fish for sure. :D If none are there now asking around and finding out when they were might be a start to yours age.I think 20th century is a safe bet.
Take Care,
Pete, :hello:

Thanks All!
Hi Pete,
I dig those pewter items at all the coastal sites I hunt ;D
I can't believe I didn't recognize the harpoon is a match for the one used on the
boat I fish on :-[
The day someone Hooked the blue shark it wasn't on board, so they tried to boat it with 2 gaffs, (not) :laughing7:
Photo with bent rod was a nice bluefin, mate attempted to harpoon 3 times, (not)
Bounced right off it's skin, gotta keep them razor sharp.
We did boat a few small bluefin last year on 30 lb cod rigs.
Anyone up for Headboat codfishing out of NH, you can't beat Gauron in Hampton.
Get on the Northern Star with Captain Rocky, let me know and I'll join you.
Great Boat & crew!
HH all :hello:
