Ok, I'm new to this forum, but I'll post this coin/token I found last summer in a park in Chicago. I have posted it in several forums, but in this one. Let see if anyone can come up with some information because to date, I have not received anything concrete about it. This piece is the size of a half dollar and is light. The obverse and reverse are identical and it has no date anywhere. In fact, I first doubted that the piece was French because the cedillo or little tail under the letter C was not there. Most French coins have it, although not all. It is not a magician coin and it may not be a commemorative token. It is not a fake coin with the obverses cut and glued together. What was it minted for? A person told me that it is a slot machine token, but I have looked and looked and have come out with no picture of such a token.
