These two coin like items came as a solid 79 on my Garrett 400. Looks almost like a worn flat V nickel. No sign of any design or writing.
Assuming they are knock outs of some sort. Thought I’d ask if anyone as any thought’s.

Look carefully along the edge for a burr/flat spot. Most knockouts from electrical are steel.
Wonder if these blanks were used as a token of sorts.

I examined it for this and it is perfectly round and smooth. I guess it can’t be a knock out then. (Not steel)
I pondered the idea of it being a token.
Found in the front yard of a 1880’s farm house.

Compare its' size with a large cent you may have. I once found one of these "blanks" near where I found 2 early 1800s large cents in an old Town Common that was being re-sod. Back in the day, a large copper was still worth its' weight for trade, even if it had no printing on it.

It is almost exactly the same size as these nickels.

I have a pile of slick copper discs that were once coins. Try side lighting🤷🏻‍♂️
Most of my slicks are British or French ( I think)and they all go in the collection. Nice work !!

I think you may have it. Never seen freeze plugs like this until I just now searched freeze plugs for a Model T.
Just an FYI, Model T owners have in a pinch not being able to get a new freeze plug in their time of need have been known to use a nickel as a replacement, so those being about the same size as a nickel makes them more than likely a Model T freeze plug!

Here's link to a topic on a Model T forum of one guy posting doing such.
