Hi folks, my name is Alan, I don't usually post any pics of the things I find because it's usually not anything interesting BUT when I was out yesterday I found this bronze age axe head! I didn't realise how old it was until I got home and started researching it, I discovered it is called a palstave axe head and is around 3000 to 4000 years old. I was with my cousin when I found it, he passed over it and left it cause it was an iffy signal, I decided it was worth a dig cause there where hardly any targets in the field, 99 times out of 100 I would probably left it thinking it was just a big bit of iron deep down, really glad I decided to dig this one! Thanks for looking :) Alan, in Scotland.

It is a great find, & sounds like you learnt a lesson at the same time  :headbang:

Nice axe brother! I bet you'll be digging up a few more iron targets in the future!

Welcome to Tnet. We'd love to see everything you find. :hello2:
