Hello all,,,
I was hoping someone could possibly give me an idea on the age of this bottle. It's marked, "BROMO-SELTZER / EMERSON DRUG CO." around the bottom edge, and is marked, " M 27 ", on the bottom itself... Also, isn't most blue glass worth hanging on to, or is some of the newer items made with blue glass, just plain ol' glass...
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated...
Good luck, & Happy hunting~

Thousands of these bottles were discovered underneath an old building. They do not have a collectors value, but as a decorative item there is a minimal value.1-3 dollars.Probably 1930's

Thank you very much for the info...
I didn't think it too old, due to the style of top on it, but I know very little about bottles...
The date was the most important info I was looking for, just to get an idea of the age of the bottle dump I found it in... I have only a few old bottles, so it will make a nice addition to my small collection...

Also, since I'm here with a bottle post, I read somewhere on the forum about the seems on the bottles, but I can't remember which way it went. If the seems go all the way to the top, is that before 1900, or after?
Thanks again, Leon...

Here is an older version Bromo-Seltzer, dug in a local bottle dump that was in use around 1920 or so.

Very cool Dharmacy,,,
There just something about those old cork top bottles...
Was the cork still in it when you found it?,, or did you add that yourself?

I added the cork on this one. ;D Alltho I have found a few with corks, I bought a bag of assorted corks at a craft store and put them in some bottles just for display.
